This is my interim personal web page, mirrored from my old grad student home page at Indiana University Computer Science Department in beautiful Bloomington, Indiana where I finished my Ph.D. at the end of 1997.  I am now out prospering in the real world as Founder and President of Visualytics, a company specializing in Advaced R&D of Interactive Visual Analysis Systems.  My old indiana.edu address has been phased out. You can still reach me at < keahey (at) acm (dot) org >, although that one is starting to fill with spam as well.

Some items of interest these days:
I founded Visualytics in 2002 to perform R&D in the field of Visualization. We do custom visualization research, as well as a range of products from desktop SDKs to web-based visualization systems. Visualytics, the Visual Analysis Company
the widget here shows the last 30 days of land prices across the entire second life grid (aka the metaverse). as of today (03/20/08), it seems to be doing better than real life real estate. you can grab a copy of this chart widget and install it wherever you want with just a few clicks, free. more tools for life second are at mappa novus.
TruViz Photos I spend a lot of my little free time dabbling in photography and video. I have a fledgling website for showing my photography work, but there is not much there yet as I am still just getting that organized. I do have an online gallery of photos I took for a charitable figure skating event featuring Evan Lysacek "An Evening of Hope".
of course I have a LinkedIn profile. I haven't used it for much, but it is a good way to keep in touch with friends and colleagues. please feel free to ask to join my network. View Alan Keahey's profile on LinkedIn
Volvo S60R aka the Black Raptor my current ride, a Volvo S60R. tuned to about 330HP, with AWD and a 6-speed stick. makes a great comfortable daily driver with a little something extra. now that it's going off warranty, it's going to be tempting to treat it to more track time. it's a heavy car however, and braking is tough for it. definitely helps to have some titanium alloy heat shields to keep the brake fluids from boiling.

Some of the information below and in the rest of these pages is a bit dated, caveat visitor

The Miscellaneous Section:

A little bit about me and my personal interests. Warning, this list is really old. Parts of it date back to 1993, when all that people knew what to do with a web page was make indented lists of links to other sites. I'm sure a lot of the links are dead, but they have been left in for historical accuracy.
