This page was
created by Alan Keahey
as a central information resource for material related to nonlinear
magnification systems. Dr. Keahey has
published extensively on the subject of nonlinear magnification
technologies, and has implemented many different magnification
systems for applications ranging from WWW navigation to
visualization of global climate patterns. In 1998, he completed
his
dissertation thesis on the subject at Indiana University.
This page was hosted at the Indiana University Department of Computer Science
from 1996 to 2006. Special thanks to the Computer Science Department for their hosting of this site during that time. It has since been moved to my own personal website for archival purposes, and is awaiting a bright young graduate student to update the content as part of a thesis literature review for this burgeoning field (hint hint).
Please send any suggestions for improvement (missing
information, broken links etc.) to NOkeaheySP@acm.org (remove capital letters from email address).
Thanks to all who have contributed information for this page.
